Interested in understanding post-Soviet transformation? Look no further! Since 1992, Demokratizatsiya contributors have been providing scholarly insights into the forces that shape the region, from perestroika to Putin.
In each quarterly issue, distinguished and emerging scholars from around the world address politics, economics, social issues, legal systems, nationalities, international relations, and human rights. We welcome submissions on these and similar topics to demjournal@gwu.edu.
Demokratizatsiya is ranked in Scopus. As of January 2020, the journal is in the 68th percentile of social science journals, with a CiteScore of 0.92.

Individual conversations are available between 7am and 7pm ET on Thursday 5 November, Friday 6 November, Saturday 7 November, Sunday 8 November, Saturday 14 November, and Sunday 15 November. Sessions are 30 minutes in length and you may stay for as little or as much of that time as you wish.
Group presentations will be held at 3:30pm ET on Thursday 5 November, 11:30am ET on Friday 6 November, 3:30pm ET on Saturday 7 November, 11:30am ET on Sunday 8 November, 3:30pm ET on Saturday 14 November, and 11:30am ET on Sunday 15 November.
